What a thriller! Everything to know about England Vs Australia

England vs Australia, a match the world held their breath for. I can say this it did not disappoint. From Duckett's 165 to Inglis' maiden century of 120* we saw some terrific hitting as well. The match started off with England using the pitch conditions perfectly. Soon though the first wicket fell with an amazing catch from Alex Carey, someone usually seen with gloves on took a breathtaking catch on the edge of the circle.

Joe Root and Duckett had an important partnership and some good finishing by Livingstone and Archer took England to a Mamoth total of 351 runs. Australia had a huge target to chase. They started off shaky losing 2 wickets early in the 4 and 5 overs respectively. Travis Head and Steve Smith were the only ones to miss out on as Matt Short and Marnus Labushagne steadied the ship. 2 wickets fell quick and Josh Inglis and Alex Carey appeared at the wicket together.

These two almost single handedly took Australia to the finish line. This made Australia favourites. Archer dropping a dolly did not help England's cause. Brydon Carse who had a dreadfull night took Carey's wicket only to unleash the nightmare Maxwell. Maxwell and Inglis finished the match for Australia and successfully chased the second highest score Australia ever have. This was also the highest total chased in Champions trophy history.

A thought spared for Ben Duckett as he made the highest score ever in Champions trophy history of 165 runs of 143 balls.
