 Pakistan is set to play England in a 3 test match series at home starting from 7th October 10:30 AM local time. Pakistans luck in tests recently had been a mix as they have not been playing well recently however there have been glimpses of hope for Pakistan. The squad that the PCB has selected is as follows:

A lot of you may be confused why I have not included Abdullah Sahfique or Babar Azam in this team. Well the plain reason is that Abdullah Shafique had not been playing well for the past few series. I feel he should be given rest same as Babar should be given. In the case that they do play then afterwards after the series they should be given a rest or maybe during the series as we have the Champions Trophy coming up in early 2025 which Pakistan are hosting.

Pakistan's performance and the way forward in the T20 world cup 2024

 Pakistan has played 2 matches in the 2024 T20 world cup and the first match was a disspaointment for the Pakistani fans. Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat against the co-hosts USA. They drew out the match and took it to the super over in which they lost. Pakistan batted first and made 159 runs with 7 wickets down in 20 overs. It was a poor performance from the Pakistani team. Their captain Babar Azam played very slowly and couldn't get the start they needed from the openers. Mohammad Rizwan also played poorly making 9 runs of 8 balls. The Pakistani team was under pressure early and to top it all of wickets kept falling. Pakistan got to this misely total because of a partnership of 62 runs featuring Babar Azam and Shadab Khan. The USA got a reasonably good start but couldnt let loose like they did in the previous match. They needed 13 runs of the last 3 balls courtesy of a crucial 50 from the captain himself Monank Patel.
